人靠衣装，佛靠金装。位于马六甲古城内的福成香庄，不止售卖多种的神像，同时也会看见第二代店主，手持各个工具，全神贯注地替神像进行整修，他——王有发，是本地已经难得一见的神像修复师傅。 修复神像这手艺十分讲究，过程中需要极高的耐心及专注，长时间在工作台上根据神像不同的损坏程度进行维修，短则数日；长则数星期。在复新旧神像时，保留其传统、自然、不花俏的颜色为主。王有发先生也在裂缝的地方补泥，和重新制作神像的小道具，如胡子，权杖等。让整尊神像在经过修复后焕然一新。 由于早期父亲——王建国所售卖的神像大部分从中国进口，因为气侯和运输的关系，尤其木质的神会有出现裂痕或损坏，为了不丢弃这些神像和经营成本的考量，就聘请中国神像师傅过来指导。这也促成王有发先生在年轻时便接触并开始修复神像，如今已拥有30余年的经验。他也说道这是一门非常冷门的行业，耗时耗了，在凡事求快的现在，没有年轻一辈的愿意从事这门行业。 Fine feathers make fine birds.
