Gardner Massachusetts SoMax Hydrothermal Carbonization Study Presentation

Dan Spracklin, CEO SoMax Circular Solutions, delivers a summary presentation on January 18, 2024 to a community meeting on the Hydrothermal Carbonization (HTC) Feasibility Study, provided to city officials in Gardner Massachusetts. The purpose for the March 2023 feasibility study is to illustrate the impact of implementing a hydrothermal carbonization facility at the City of Gardner Wastewater Treatment plant. By expanding the solids processing capacity through HTC and opening the doors to hauled waste, the Gardner WWTP can become a net energy producer while achieving positive economics. HTC provides a sustainable long-term solution to replace the current practice of landfilling and expansion of the municipal sludge landfill. This January 18, 2024 presentation was hosted by Gardner Clean Air at the West End Beagle Club in Gardner, MA. Gardner Clean Air (GCA) is a grass roots community organization that was formed 2014. Gardner Clean Air supports clean and sustainable solutions for wastewater sludge management and not expansion of the Gardner Sludge Landfill.
