Now in X-Plane 12, it's time to explore the rest of Great Britain, and the Orbx scenery. So this flight will be to Gloucester. Making this video hasn't been plain sailing. First a Windows update started causing problems, and then an update from X-Plane started to create more problems. At the moment XP-Realistic no longer works (it crashes X-Plane), and X-Camera also produced a lot of stutters and flickers during replay. With the extra scenery involved when flying over more built up areas, I've had to reduce some of the settings. There is a problem, during replaying the flight, with the flaps on the plane. When they are extended, they flap! The control yokes also jerk about quite a bit, as well as the flaps lever. None of this happened during the actual flight, only in the replay. I'm still doing the usual editing out of the stutters, but there are still one or two that I may have missed. The PC is a Predator Orion 9000, running Windows 11; with dual GeForce 1080ti graphics cards, and 128gb memory. All the flight sim software, and scenery files, are installed onto a single 1tb solid state drive. The journey is flown in VR using the Oculus Rift S. The only plug-ins I'm using at the moment are: AviTab – Used during the actual flight. Little NavMap – Used to create the flight plan, the flight data log, and the map seen at the start of the video. X-Camera - for recording the replay. This needs to be disabled during flight in VR. After the flight, the replay file is saved, and then played back through X-Plane. The video is recorded in 4k at 60fps using GeForce Experience. The resulting video clips are then edited together in Vegas Pro, and rendered at 60fps in 4K. The following music files for this video have been used from the Vegas Hub Library: "Epic Trailer Music" "The Ascent" "Songs of the North Winds" "Gliding in the Sky" "Calm Aware" "Sapphire Nova" "Perfect Storm" "Timeless Oasis" "Letting the Leaves Fall" "Come Near Me" "Abbey" "Come On" "The Rain" This is just a bit of fun, and not meant to be taken seriously. Thank you for watching.
