Hey and welcome! In this advanced 3D vfx tutorial, we’ll explore how to create a CG Ocean with realistic surface reflections inside Fusion’s native 3D system, using a combination of Fast Noises as Displacement Maps and Bump Maps , to get a similar result as to what you would get out of Blender’s Cycles. You’ll learn how to set up a Spherical Camera for the rendering reflections, and connecting these to SphereMaps for realistic shading. This technique is never before seen in a Resolve or Fusion tutorial, and it’s crazy that this has been possible to do all this time. It’s extremely useful for both VFX and Motion Graphics. Take that, After Effects! Anyways, thank you for checking out the video, leave a comment on what you want to see in the future! Headphones 3D Model: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/audio... Fusion offers a powerful and professional node-based workflow that makes even the most complex compositions feel intuitive and efficient. It also features a fully fledged 3D system which is great for 3D Compositing and Motion Graphics. Unlike After Effects with it’s chuggy performance, and layer-based approach that can quickly become cluttered in intricate projects, Fusion’s node based system provides much more flexibility and precision. And it doesn’t rely as much on plugins. Fusion does almost the exact same as Nuke, yet does so at a more accessible price point, making it ideal for independent artists and smaller studios. Moreover, its real-time GPU acceleration and seamless integration with DaVinci Resolve further streamline the post-production process, positioning Fusion as a robust, cost-effective solution. I am using the Blackmagic Fusion Standalone application, but everything I do here can be done in the Fusion page of DaVinci Resolve. #compositing #davinciresolve #blackmagic #fusion #vfx #3d
