On Wednesday, I decided to head up to Brunswick to get some drone footage of the yard with a "Fake-Bonnet" BNSF unit having come in overnight on G111 and tied down in the yard until the empty grain train back west. On my way up, I caught some trains in Bucklodge and then at Lander Road. Once in Brunswick it was pretty quiet besides the manifest working the yard until I heard an empty ballast train asking for permission east. Since it was getting darker and I heard that there was an FRA inspection train with a Norfolk Southern leader coming east but still far away, I headed down the line towards DC and caught I135 at Tuscarora and then almost missed the FRA inspection train at Metropolitan Grove. It came so unexpectedly, that I didn't even get my drone up in the air in time. Im glad I was at least able to get some footage. It was a good day!
