In this video, we tackle some of the most challenging questions in the Bible as we dive into Romans 9:14–24. Paul addresses the immediate objection: Is God unjust for choosing some and not others? He responds with a firm "By no means!", explaining that mercy is entirely a matter of God's sovereign choice rather than human effort or desire. By looking at the example of Pharaoh, Paul illustrates how God uses both mercy and hardening to display His power and make His name known throughout the earth. ​We also explore the famous "Potter and the Clay" analogy, where Paul challenges the creature's right to question the Creator. He argues that just as a potter has authority over the clay to make vessels for different purposes, God has the right to exercise immense patience with "objects of wrath" to ultimately make the riches of His glory known to "objects of mercy."
