In 2016, a team of developers began working on a Unity Engine remake of the iconic horror game SCP Containment Breach. This game was updated regularly over the course of 5 years, with many new rooms and SCPs being added, and the games overall atmosphere and style would see many changes. While it started off as simply just a recreation of the original, it eventually found its own identity and became more of a spiritual successor than a one to one remake. However, the game was unfortunately cancelled in 2021, and all development ceased on the project. But why? What happened behind the scenes that led to this decision?
