Liebig method is used to estimate carbon and hydrogen quantitatively. In this method both carbon and nitrogen are reacts with CuO. Carbon is converted into CO2, then it is passed through KOH. similarly hydrogen is converted to H2O, then it is passed through anhydrous CaCl2. The weights of CO2 and H2O are determined through the experiment.
