Hawaii Weather - A Wind Advisory has been issued for parts of the island chain through Tuesday at 6 PM. This alert has been issued for parts of the state, but not all. The focus of the messaging here is that areas just downwind of the mountains may see winds reach higher speeds than other portions of the state. Wind gusts could climb as high as 50 miles per hour. Showers carried in on the trade winds will be focused over windward and mauka areas. A High Surf Advisory is also in effect for east facing shores. This will last until 6 AM on Wednesday.
