The presentation: The presentation will cover Part L 2021 and Part F 2019 compliance challenges based on inspections and required compliance documents that Designers/Assigned Certifiers should be providing/collecting. Also, the Installers have the required certification. It will also touch on Part D compliance (proper selection of materials) DOPs, CE Markings and Agrément Certs. The office provides oversight, support and direction for the delivery and standardisation of Building Control in the 31 Building Control Authorities: through Education and Training, Inspections, Compliance & Support and IT-Enabler (BCMS). Richard, an expert in the building regulations, codes and standards, leads the Inspections pillar, where he is instrumental in providing compliance support to implement a strengthened inspection regime and promote a culture of compliance with the Building Regulations. He has over 20 years experience in the construction industry, including assigned certifier and designer roles. Richard holds a B.Eng. Civil Engineering, PGrad.Dip. Fire Safety Practice and a P.Grad.C. Digital Analysis and Energy Retrofit. Richard is a Chartered Member of Engineers Ireland, A Registered Building Surveyor and Fellow of The Chartered Associations of Building Engineers (UK).
