Rather than following the usual tropes of architects opening doors and walking through entires in slow motion, our film for Zuzana & Nicholas' Red Hill House & Studio took a different approach. The narrative unfolds through everyday moments: making coffee, brushing teeth, working in the studio, and playing guitar in the afternoon light. Zuzana & Nicholas wanted something that reflected both their architecture and their day-to-day routines, a film as thoughtful as their own design approach. For Thirdson Construction, the project showcased their craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail throughout the project. We had the freedom to explore and experiment, mixing classic static shots with a more intimate handheld style, weaving together onscreen and offscreen sound with Nicholas' guitar drifting through the sequence.
