How do we find the students that need extra support with the screening tools we need? When it comes to finding students at risk for language and reading difficulties, choose your assessment wisely! To ensure that you select the best screening tools available, it's important to understand what skills should be assessed and which tests provide the maximum amount of information. It's time for all educators to use assessment tools that drive comprehensive, evidence-based early screening and instruction. During this webinar, Dr. Danielle M. Thompson, PhD CCC-SLP, outlined the different types of prevalent assessment tools and the statistics to look for when evaluating a student's results. During her presentation, she helped attendees understand how to plan for comprehensive early assessment of students of various levels. Viewers will be provided with a better understanding of the best tools to use for screening and the knowledge to identify struggling readers. The webinar was followed by a 30-minute Q&A session, and was presented by Kendore Learning on August 16th, 2021.
