Dongguan Love Line (also known as “Aixin Forest Trail” or simply “Aixin Line”) is one of the most famous hiking routes in Dongguan. Its most well-known feature is that the entire trail forms the shape of a heart (love symbol ❤️) when viewed on a map, which is how it got the name “Love Line / Aixin Line”。 Basic Information Location: Southern foothills of Yinping Mountain Forest Park, mainly along the ridge line at the junction of Qingxi Town, Xiegang Town, and Zhangmutou Town (you can literally stand with one foot in three towns) Length: About 16.8 km (including ~5 km of access roads / greenways; most of it is wild trail) Elevation gain: Around 1200–1250 meters cumulative Highest point: ~792 m (near Changshan Peak area) Number of peaks crossed: Over 20 mountain tops Typical time: 8–10 hours for people with decent fitness (many take 10+ hours and finish in the dark) Start / End: Usually starts and ends at Cailian Bridge in the Qingxi scenic area (loop route) Difficulty Rating Widely regarded in Dongguan’s hiking community as a “graduation line” — meaning one of the hardcore routes you “must complete” before you can call yourself an experienced hiker in the area. Its difficulty and physical demand are comparable to Shenzhen’s famous “Three Waters Line” (三水线). Very leg-crushing and mentally tough, but the scenery is spectacular.
