Rock: samurai　（Watonai） Paper: old woman (Watonai’s mother) Scissors: Tiger The Samurai can kill the tiger with his spear, so he wins to the tiger, but he loses to his mother (the old woman) since she gave birth to him. Therefore, the old woman can win to the Samurai, but loses to the tiger since she’s old and frail. As such, the tiger loses to the Samurai, but wins to the old woman. When playing Tora-tora, two players stand next to each other with a folding screen in between. They sing a song and at the chorus, “tora, tora, tora, tora (tiger, tiger, tiger,tiger)”, they hide behind the screen and pretend to be either the Samurai, the old woman, or the tiger, then they come out from behind the screen to reveal their hand.
