Please note whilst we do pay for all our products from Ty-Mawr we did receive a discount for featuring them in our content. The search is finally over! In this week’s episode of our farmhouse renovation, we take you along on a road trip to Rob Thomas’s Reclamation Yard in Carmarthenshire – and what a treasure trove it turned out to be. From reclaimed bricks that perfectly match our arches, to chimney pots, quarry tiles, and even timber for our living room floorboards, we discovered everything we’d been hunting for and more. Back at the farmhouse, we tackle a job we’ve been putting off: removing the blown render from the front doorway to reveal the stone and check the final set of lintels and beams. It’s always nerve-racking but this step is crucial for keeping our project on track as we push toward our Christmas deadline of moving into the downstairs. We also get our next massive delivery of lime, inuslation and wood fibre boards from Ty-Mawr which will move us into the next stage of the build. This episode is full of progress, surprises, and one very exciting delivery that brings us a huge step closer to making this old farmhouse a home again. 👉 Subscribe and join us on our journey as we bring this 100+ year old Welsh farmhouse back to life, one project at a time. We have a huge challenge on our hands as the property and the land all need a full renovation after lying empty for 6 years but as we spent everything we had on the move, we will be doing all the work ourselves. This is a life time project though, so we have time to figure it all out! We would love if you would like and subscribe and follow our journey!
