In today’s episode of the Volvo V70 2.5T Titanium Edition engine rebuild, we’re taking a huge step forward: complete engine disassembly! With the engine now out of the car, it’s finally time to tear it down piece by piece so we can prepare everything for machining and the rebuild that’s coming next. In this video, I’ll be removing the timing belt, cylinder head, pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, and everything else that needs to come out before the block and head can be inspected and refreshed. Once everything is stripped down, I’ll be taking both the cylinder head and short block to the machine shop. They’ll take care of resurfacing, cleaning, pressure testing, and making sure every mating surface and component is within spec. That means next week we can finally start the fun part: rebuilding the engine with fresh parts! If you’re following this series to learn more about Volvo’s 2.5T five-cylinder, tackling your own rebuild, or you simply enjoy watching a high-mileage engine get a second chance, this video has plenty of teardown action and satisfying progress. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe so you don’t miss the next episode, when reassembly begins and this Volvo engine starts its journey back to life!
