Hello, everyone! I'm Cole from The Kingdom, and today we're discussing the concept of importing player choices from one game to the next in a series. We primarily discuss Dragon Age Inquisition, The Veilguard, and the Mass Effect trilogy. The two series take different approaches due to Mass Effect being a continuous saga about one character, while Dragon Age spans all across a continent across many years with multiple different protagonists. I didn't get to discuss everything I wanted to - this video already ended up being super long. Like I didn't mention it in the video, but a lot of call-backs in DA2 from Origins felt... well, kinda forced. Thankfully Inquisition was much better about it, which is why I mainly talked about that one - I wanted to focus on how it was done well. Also, a lot of games that don't have choices but do have new stories/characters/locations, do still call back to events from previous games. That's also great to see, and it's worth comparing them. I just wanted to focus on importing choices like in these Bioware series.
