Let’s get baking. 👩‍🍳✨ WHAT YOU NEED 1 ½ cups sugar 3 cups self-raising flour 1 ½ cups milk ¾ cup oil 4 eggs Zest of 3 lemons 3 tbsp honey GLAZE ¼ cup honey Juice of 3 lemons ¼ cup water WHAT YOU DO 💛 Preheat your oven to 160°C and line a cake tin. 💛 In a large bowl, whisk together all the cake ingredients until smooth. 💛 Pour the batter into the lined spring formed cake tin and bake for 1 hour or until a skewer comes out clean. 💛 While it’s baking, heat all the glaze ingredients in a saucepan until boiling. 💛 Once the cake is done, poke it with a skewer about 40 times (yes, really!), then slowly pour over the warm glaze. 💛 Let the cake cool in the tin so it soaks up all that delicious syrup.
