Did you know that for enjoying scuba diving with manta rays you don’t have to go to Maldives, Palau or other exotic destinations? Located off North Stradbroke Island, or Minjerribah, Manta Bommie consists of of rocky outcrops surrounded by a rocky reef, and has depth of 3m - 15m, being suitable even for novice open water divers. Over 500 leopard sharks visit Manta Bommie each year, which makes it the best dive site in the world to see these magnificent creatures. On a regular dive you will see at least three manta rays and numerous leopard sharks and lots of different fish and invertebrates. Therefore there is no surprise that Manta Bommie is rated ad one of TOP10 dive sites in Australia! Several Dive operators in South-East Queensland offer day trips to Manta Bommie.
