This run is a Tool Assisted Speedrun (TAS). It won't count on any real time ranking. Karts are faster on DK Mountain No Glitch. Karts can drive the mountain section while staying at 120km/h the whole time. This is done with a tech called "Slope Boosting", which essentially allow you to convert the speed you get from falling (with gravity), to some horizontal speed, that you can keep for an extended amount of time. This essentially works the same way as the Kart MoonJump on Rainbow Road. Tasing the lap1 took me around 1 month (not counting prelim runs I did before). The hard parts to TAS were actually not the Slope Boosting parts, since driving at 120km/h is way less punitive. Hardest part was the wallclip on the ending cut, and the "Death Turn" (First U-turn in the grassy section). However, I managed with a precise cannon entry on lap2 and lap3, to re use all my lap1 input up to the Death Turn, which saved me a lot of time. I actually did lap2 and lap3 in 2 days. This TAS is my first 3lap RT TAS, and I'm very proud to get a BKT with it, with a Kart nonetheless !
