Her educational background includes an applied chemistry degree from Nanjing University, a master’s in artificial intelligence from Georgia Tech, a PhD in computational chemistry with postdoctoral research in structural biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham(UAB). Dr. Pan was the Director of computational sciences of the Integrated System Center at UAB, enhancing interdisciplinary biomedical research. She also served as a Senior Investigator at the Global Health Drug Discovery Institute, a collaboration between the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Tsinghua University, focusing on AI-driven drug discovery for global health.
