Do the words of Moses and Paul carry the same authority as those of Jesus? I believed they did for decades. But when we actually study the red letters, that assumption begins to fall apart. In this video, I use Jesus’ words from the Sermon on the Mount and compare them directly with the Law of Moses. We look at eye for eye, enemy love, the Sabbath, oaths, adultery, judgment, and even how Jesus radically redefined who God is. Throughout the Sermon on the Mount, and his life, Jesus says, “You have heard it said… but I tell you.” And what follows isn’t a clarification of the law—it’s the polar opposite. Did Jesus really uphold the Mosaic Law, or did He fulfill it by replacing it with something far more radical: love? By making every word of Moses and Paul equal authority to Jesus’ words Jesus’ teaching has been used throughout history to justify violence, slavery, genocide, and oppression—and why those actions stand in direct contradiction to everything He taught and modeled. This conversation isn’t about attacking the Bible. It’s about taking Jesus’ words seriously and putting them above the other bible writers which can change the world. 00:00 - Whose words are greater? 01:54 - Fulfilling the Law 04:14 - Eye for eye - Moses 04:55 - Eye for eye - Jesus 05:20 - Changing the world 05:47 - Love or hate your enemies 06:28 - Jesus' real message 07:09 - Contradicting Yahweh on rain 07:44 - Contradicting Yahweh on oaths 08:37 - Breaking the sabbath 09:26 - Adultery 10:10 - Gangster Jesus 10: 36 - Jesus changing the consciousness 12:18 - Why Christ and Christianity are two different things
