The temperatures influence the magnitude of the contact resistance between printed lines, whereas the extrusion width determines the number of contacts per unit length. Electric metamaterials are interesting for sensing, e.g. by concentrating the current to achieve highly sensitive spots. In this work such a concentrator is 3D-printed and its operation is demonstrated through IR thermography and voltage measurements, as well as supported by FEM simulations.
