This demolition progress video covers two visits. 2/14/2026 and 2/28/2026. There is not much left. Eaton is demolished. Hilltop is demolished. Hillcrest in being demolished and will probably be done in a week. The campus is closed to the public and any trespassing will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Capital Police and PA State Police are now involved and patrolling the grounds. Trespassing inside any of the former Harrisburg State Hospital buildings is illegal. Trespassers will be prosecuted with criminal trespassing, a 2nd Degree Felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. It does not matter if you find an open door or window, going inside the buildings without permission from the PA DGS is illegal, and you will get caught.
