|E50| From Puerto Viejo to Bocas del Toro, Border Crossing into Panama

In this episode 50 (Yeah!), we cross the border from Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica to Bocas del Toro in Panama. Getting from Puerto Viejo to Bocas del Toro takes us by van, taxi-truck and, boat. We receive the negative PCR results just 7 mins before getting picked up by the van. What a relief! We drive to Sixaola by van and cross the border without any issues. We are basically the only ones there. We go through a temperature test, immigration, and passport control, and finally a luggage checkpoint before we can jump into the waiting taxi truck. Due to road work on the freeway, we drive to Almirante through the mountains and winding roads. Arriving at the docks, we board the taxi boat that takes us to Bocas Town across the waters. When we arrive, it is pouring down and we have trouble finding our hotel. Finally, we find it and after a hot shower, we jump to bed and get some much-needed rest after a really long travel day.
