In this episode Edward Stow examines in great detail the third of the four 'canonical' Thames Torso Murders - that of Elizabeth Jackson in June 1889. This was the only torso murder where the victim was ever identified. The body parts were found in twelve different locations and each is examined - along with the site of the mortuary, the police station from where the case was investigated, where the inquests took place, and Elizabeth Jackson's movements are traced. Controversies over the exact location where two of the body parts were deposited by the culprit are cleared up, and the overall case is accessed in detail.
