Through this hymn, Periyazhvar expresses his role as a guardian, safeguarding both the Lord and the sacred city of Srirangam. The Lord, along with Goddess Lakshmi, Adiseṣha, and the Milk Ocean, enters Srirangam and reclines peacefully. As waves rise and fall around him, He rests majestically yet gently.
