Data transparency from farm to plate - BioBoosters Hackathon powered by Neste introduced five solutions to unlock transparency across the Agri-Food Value Chain. Agri-food systems contribute nearly one-third of global greenhouse gas emissions, covering activities from crop production and land management to processing, transportation, and waste disposal. Transparency across the agri-food value chain is key to driving measurable climate impact and meeting evolving sustainability regulations. Neste is already offering green house gas (GHG) emission reporting services to its customers. The BioBoosters Hackathon powered by Neste sought additional solutions to help players across entire agri-food value chain to collect data on their renewable diesel use and also other inputs that have a GHG emission impact helping them to meet their greenhouse gas emission reduction targets. The winners - Finnish ImpactOS and Polish Agri Solutions complement each other. ImpactOS is sector agnostic sustainability platform whereas Agri Solution's FArmCloud offers solutions specifically to farmers.
