I stepped outside my comfort zone and into the beautiful world of Persian dance! My amazing high school friend got married, and asked me to perform at her Iranian wedding. It was such an incredible honor to be part of her special day in this way! To make sure I did it justice, I sought out the incredibly talented professional Persian dancer, Helia Bandeh! She helped me create this choreography, and I'm so grateful for her guidance and expertise. Persian dance is challenging, but every step was enjoyable to learn and perform. Persian dance has its own unique elegance and flair that sets it apart from other dance forms like belly dance. While both are beautiful and expressive, Persian dance often emphasizes graceful turns, intricate hand gestures, and a connection to Persian poetry. I hope you enjoy watching!
