Thanks to Aaron 3-B for the idea for this level, and to George Bradley for the tileset. Yes, I am alive! If you're wondering what happened between 2-GH and this... well, university happened. But, fortunately, I have quite a while off from that now, so you should be seeing a lot more levels over the next few weeks. 2-4 was originally another example of how complicated and cheap-hard World 2 used to be: it had way too many gimmicks, went on for way too long, and was, well, way too hard. Hopefully the new 2-4 is an improvement: I've tried to sort of keep the pipeline/sewer theme, but hopefully I've made it a lot more interesting and consistent gimmick-wise with the minecarts and leaking pipes. Getting the right speed for the minecarts took a really long time, but I think I've got it just about right now. Despite how simple it is compared to the first section, the second one with the minecart ride took quite a while to design - it was pretty challenging to come up with ways to make the level interesting when all you can do is jump. I think I managed to pull it off though, especially with the Monty Mole minecarts - originally I tried to use Rexes instead, but they were too small to actually damage you. This level is definitely on the shorter side, but considering how fast-paced it is, I think that makes sense. The minecarts are a bit buggy, especially in terms of collision with enemies (you can't bounce on them and just sort of fall instead), but I tried to design the level around that. Much better than the original if you ask me, in any case. Do leave a comment if there's anything you want to say. If you don't like this level, don't be afraid to say it.
