Before we all jump to conclusions, let’s get one thing clear right up front: there has been NO official announcement from Mattel yet. What you’re about to see is based on leaked retail listings, in-hand photos, and a whole lot of collector speculation… but wow, there’s a LOT to unpack here. With the upcoming Masters of the Universe live-action movie hitting theaters this summer, Mattel has already revealed the Masters of the Universe Chronicles line, a 6–6.5 inch, collector-focused series based directly on the film. But now? A second MOTU movie toy line has been found at retail—before Mattel has said a single word about it. These newly discovered figures appear to be a kids-focused movie line, possibly codenamed “The First Ones.” That name hasn’t appeared on packaging, but it has shown up in retail systems, including Target and Amazon listings. The figures themselves feature more realistic proportions, actor likenesses, and a lower price point—reportedly around $9.99—very similar to the kid-oriented lines we see alongside Marvel and Star Wars movies. So here’s the big question every collector is asking: 👉 Are these replacing Masters of the Universe Origins? We break down scale comparisons, proportions, articulation, and why these figures feel closer to a true 5-inch line than the 5.5-inch Origins figures. We also talk about Beast Man’s first toy appearance from the movie, how these compare to Cartoon Collection He-Man, and what this could mean for vehicles, playsets, and future MOTU lines. With New York Toy Fair just around the corner, Mattel is clearly holding their cards close to the chest—and I’ll be there in person covering it all so we can finally get some real answers. Until then, this video is all about speculation, collector concerns, and starting the conversation. Is this a smart move? Is it just standard movie marketing? Or does it signal bigger changes for Origins and Masterverse? Let me know what YOU think in the comments—and stay tuned, because MOTU movie year is just getting started. 📸 Photo credit: He-Man.org and all contributing photographers (used with permission). 00:00 – Hold Up… Let’s Talk About These Leaks 01:30 – What Was Found at Retail 03:10 – The First Ones Explained 04:30 – Kids Line vs Collector Line 05:55 – Scale & Size Comparisons 07:45 – Is This Replacing Origins? 09:25 – Retail Reality Check 11:00 – Vehicles, Playsets, and the Future 12:55 – New York Toy Fair Is Coming #MastersOfTheUniverse #MOTU #HeMan #MOTUOrigins #MOTUMovie #ToyLeaks #ActionFigures #ToyCollectors #Mattel #ToyNews #NewYorkToyFair #PixelDan #BeastMan #ToyHunting #MovieToys
