And huge thank you to Jess for this absolutely DELICIOUS RECIPE!!! And omg thank you so much for the beanie and mittens!!! They are definitely coming in handy this month! 🤣 TIME - 1hr 20min YIELD- 24 cookies (6C batter) ✨INGREDIENTS: 1½C salted butter (3 sticks) 1C white sugar 1½C dark brown sugar 3 eggs 1T vanilla extract 4½ C all purpose flour (585g) 2 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp Kosher salt 2½ C semi-sweet chocolate chips + more to top cookies ✨INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Add the butter to a medium pot or skillet, preferably one light in color. Turn heat to medium. 2) cook, stirring every 1-2 min with a wooden spoon. After a couple of minutes, the butter will start to foam up. Keep watching it. Eventually the butter will turn brown and you will see tiny brown specks. The smell will turn nutty. You might not be able to see the color under the foam very well, which is part of the reason you need to stir. Once it is brown and looks silty on the bottom, it is done! 3) immediately pour the butter into a large bowl or stand mixer. Add white sugar and brown sugar and mix well. 4) With the beater on, add the eggs. 5) add vanilla and stir. 6) Add half the flour, but don't stir Use a small spoon to stir the baking soda and salt into the flour then beat the flour into the dough. 7) add the remaining flour and stir, but stop when the dough is still dry and you can see flour. 8) add all the chocolate chips. Stir together just until the flour is incorporated. Do not over beat. 9) At this point you need to chill the dough. Cover the bowl + chill in fridge for 1-2 hours/or up to 24 hours Or follow shtep step #11 and freeze/refridgerate for 30 minutes. (Freeze on pan or in zip locks) 10) Preheat oven to 350°F + Line a baking tray 11) To shape the dough, use a 1/4 C measure. Fom dough into an egg shape and place 2" apart on sheet. 12) Bake 11-14 min. 13) Pull out when cookies are just barely starting to turn golden on top, and the centers are not shiny. 14) Place several chocolate chips on top of cookies as soon as they’re out of the oven 15) Let sit on pan for 5 min, then move to cooling rack. 16) Enjoy with milk! #joshandmomma #joshsmom #chocolatechipcookies #cookierecipe #easyrecipe #easycookierecipe
