Most of us aren’t living in a state of panic. We’re living in a state of “fine” — but our bodies are telling a different story. Tight jaw. Clenched fists. A mind that won’t stop scanning for the next thing that could go wrong. In this morning prayer, we dig into the original Hebrew of Isaiah 41:10 and discover that the word for “dismayed” — shā’â — doesn’t mean “don’t be sad.” It means “stop bracing. Stop gripping. Stop scanning for danger.” It’s a nervous-system word. And it changes everything about how you read this verse. We also unpack tāmak — the Hebrew word for “uphold” — and discover that God isn’t waiting to catch you when you fall. He’s already gripping you. Present tense. Continuous. In This Episode: • Why “dismayed” in Hebrew is actually a nervous-system word for hypervigilance • The difference between your grip and God’s grip (tāmak) • A personal story about turning down a $10,000 signing bonus — and what God did next • A guided somatic prayer to physically and spiritually unclench • Specific prayers for your workplace, your hardest decision, and that family member who makes you feel twelve again • The “we’ll see” principle: why the blessing that looks perfect might be the one God is protecting you from • Daily affirmations rooted in Isaiah 41:10, 2 Timothy 1:7, and Romans 8:38–39 Scriptures in This Episode: • Isaiah 41:10 — “Do not fear, for I am with you… I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” • 2 Timothy 1:7 — “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” • Psalm 63:8 — “My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.” • Proverbs 3:5–6 — “Lean not on your own understanding.” • Romans 8:38–39 — “Nothing can separate us from the love of God.” Timestamps (Approximate — Adjust After Recording): 00:00 Why do I feel tense and anxious even when nothing is wrong? 02:21 What does Isaiah 41:10 really mean when God says “do not fear”? 02:58 What does “do not be dismayed” mean in Isaiah 41:10? 04:00 What does it mean that God will uphold you with His righteous right hand? 05:17 How do I know when God is warning me about the wrong door? 07:58 What does “lean not on your own understanding” mean in anxious seasons? 08:26 How can I stop living in fear and have a sound mind? 09:13 How do I give my worries to God and open my hands? 17:23 How do I trust God before a stressful meeting or hard decision? 22:00 What Bible verse helps with fear, stress, and overthinking? #MorningPrayer #Isaiah4110 #StillSmallVoice #OvercomingFear #ChristianAnxiety #MorningPrayerForAnxiety #FaithOverFear #BiblicalMindfulness #PrayerForPeace #ChristianMentalHealth #DevotionalPrayer #ScriptureStudy #HebrewWordStudy #GodIsWithYou #DoNotFear
