Day 3 thru hiking the Oregon Desert Trail. I started the ODT with another hiker, but this morning he made the difficult decision to leave the trail. Now, I continue my ODT thru hike alone as I descend Pine Mountain and enter the Deschutes National Forest. Today I'll hike Kotzman Basin, Pumice Flats and Watkins Flats which feature volcanic buttes, pine trees red rock roads. Sand spring is today's water source.
