On a beautiful Sunday were back up in East Deerfield, finishing up our observations of Weekend East Deerfield operations. But before we get into the Operations we first catch Amtrak 400 and Amtrak 461. After the departure of 461 we then head to the west end of East Deerfield again where we see ED-6, the hump yard switcher headed west on the industrial track to fetch the RJED’s Consist that was left on the industrial track. Once he was out of our sight we hear POED waiting for clearance into the yard so we then head to the east end of the yard where we find him waiting. After about 5 minutes we hear the two C40-8’s of POED notch up and cross the river into the yard. POED before bringing the consist into the yard had to stop to line the track to R5, as that was the yard track his consist was assigned to. Once POED was cleared of the bridge we head back to the west end to find ED-6 just entering the yard with the RJED consist. Shortly after i see the head lights of POED waiting for RJED to clear. Once RJED cleared and was secured on R1 POED power is cut from the consist and heads to the south pit. Once POED went off duty we went for an extensive lunch break not realizing that 16R was already in Greenfield. We ended up missing him work East Deerfield but ended up racing him to Erving. After Erving to Royalston, meeting Stephen while we were there. But as the sun set low we decided to head home Stephen's Channel: / Канал ©Weathered Rails All rights reserved
