Route 61 is a local bus route which operates from Port Chester (near the NY/CT state line) to Fordham in the Bronx. Service operates weekdays and Saturdays, roughly every hour during off-peak periods (and every 30 minutes during rush hours). Most of its route is also served by route 60 (between Mamaroneck and Fordham) and route 62 (New Rochelle to Fordham). Westchester county is the operator of the Bee-Line system. Route 61 tends to use standard sized buses, however articulated buses (either interlined from route 60 or on actual route 61 runs) do show up, mainly during rush hours on weekdays.
