Exploring the ABANDONED Sutton Motor-In (Sutton, MA)

J-MASS INSTAGRAM: @jmassofficial On May 1st, 2022, the giant movie screen at the Sutton Motor-In burned to the ground in a severe brush fire. This was one of my absolute favorite abandoned locations: an empty drive-in movie theater in Sutton, Massachusetts, laying unused and abandoned since 1996, with many interesting buildings to explore. I originally filmed this video back in March, and was one the fence about posting it, but the recent fire led me to decide that posting it was the right thing to do, to preserve the legacy of this historic ruin. Join me as I explore the Sutton Motor-In before the fire, checking out the graffiti-covered snack shack to the deteriorating A-frame ticket booth to the iconic movie theater screen that stands before the cracked parking lot. Originally built in 1947, stepping into this place is like traveling back in time to an era when drive-in theaters were all the rage.
