Throughout 2025, CSX implemented a re-route schedule for certain trains due to a project to make the Howard Street Tunnel in Baltimore, MD compatible with double-stack intermodal traffic. During this time, CSX worked out a deal to run some of their trains across Norfolk Southern's tracks including the Lurgan Branch and Harrisburg Line towards Philadelphia. This created daily unique opportunities to see foreign traffic on the Harrisburg Line, which we witnessed on a cold March 1st, 2025 in Annville, PA. First up was manifest M371 out of Philly, heading west to Cumberland, MD. In a near-meet scene, immediately after the tail end of M371 cleared, a loaded coal train C748 came into view with two lead engines and two rear DPUs, including a Bright Future YN2 unit!
