My name is Griffin Furlong and I am a Professional Civil Engineer and in this video I break down my essential tips for passing the FE Exam. I finished the exam with 2 hours left and I want to show you how you can do the same! Subscribe for more FE and PE Exam prep! Tips I didn't include in this video: Study roughly 2-4 hours per week. 2 hours a week should be dedicated to solely practice problems. Days before the exam, practice timing the first section of the test using the NCEES practice exam. You can always "FLAG" problems and come back to them. Try not to spend 10 minutes on a problem. If you find yourself already over 5 mins with no idea, skip the problem and come back to it. In the first section, you should be aiming to complete problems in 1-3 minutes. Having 30 mins leftover after 1st section is good, 1 hour is great, and 2 hours is amazing. You can use all of this time in the second section. Disclaimer: This video does not guarantee you successful passing of the FE Exam. Every exam is different and the "difficulty" is relative to the individual. If you pay attention in class, understand the basic fundamentals of the material, and PREPARE yourself then you will have a higher chance of passing. Never forget that preparation is key. Simulate problems in a testing environment at-least 4 hours every week.
