On this trip I embarked on a 13 mile hike to a remote part of this range, not sure on what I would find descending into Vincent gulch. First find was Charles "Tom" Vincent's cabin built back in the 1890's. There used to be an old one stamp mill nearby, but unfortunately the Forest Service tossed that down the hill in the process of preserving the cabin. Further down I found the remains of a Schweizer 2-32 glider that met its demise back in 1974. Thankfully, both pilot and passenger walked away with merely scratches. Then I found what's either a mine or tunnel that has portions of the old trail on both sides. Above that was a riveted pipeline, I have much more exploring to do out here regarding that. There is so much lost history that I'd love to get a chance to witness and try to solve some of these puzzles. In my attempt to find a few ore cars, I came across several beautiful quartz veins, some not so remarkable artifacts and sketchy cliffs. Without any further ado, I hope you enjoy this one!
