What is the Session about? During the session, we will focus on translating curriculum aims into observable "Can Do" statements, which clearly define what young learners are able to achieve at primary school. The session explores collecting valid evidence of learning. Also, participants will learn how to align assessment criteria directly with these statements to ensure feedback is clear, motivational, and linked to progress. The goal is to make assessment a tool for learning, not just a measure of it. Who is Natalia Zachynska? Natalia Zachynska is a teacher trainer, assessment specialist, and founder of AplusLS, a Cambridge Exam Preparation Centre. She holds DELTA Module 1, CELTA, and TKT certifications and works as an international speaking examiner. She is a lecturer at KHNU, and invited lecturer at a number of universities. Her professional focus includes assessment and testing, exam preparation, ESP, and practical methodology for both young and adult learners. Natalia is an active member of IATEFL Poland and IATEFL Ukraine, and regularly delivers workshops on writing assessment, exam criteria, and effective course design.
