Amazing Grace is a versatile tune that may be played at a funeral, but also for happier occasions. I often play the tune, preceding the coffin up the aisle. The tune should also be allowed at a Civil Wedding, where religious music is banned, because the tune (from an old Scots ballad) predates the hymn, with which we tend to associate it. The tartan worn is Weathered Black Watch. The pipes are the silver-mounted ones that were made in 1984 for the famous piper, John D.
