It is a 12 km long and up to 6 km wide karst plateau with a steeply cut edge called Pleša. In addition to Snežnik, the most typical mountain in the Notranjska region. On the east side, it is separated by a pre-emptive break from the karst plateau of Hrušica, and on the west by the Bela valley it separates it from the plateau Trnovo forest. The steep slopes on the west side, which are 500 to 700 m high, separate it from the Vipava and Pivka basins, with easier access only from the north side. The surface of the plateau is corroded into elongated valleys, sinkholes and spiky peaks, most of which rise Suhi vrh (1313 m) in the southeast. Altitudes around 1100 m prevail, the western half is lower (800-950 m) and less rocky. Mountaineers and paragliders visit the wooded plateau. The deposit crosses the Slovenian Mountain Transversal and the Slovenian Geological Trail. At the Plesha viewing point (1262 m) stands a television converter, near Vojkova koča.
