I found some more old film footage on a reel consisting of some partial segments. And thanks to viewer input I am able construct a more accurate timeline. This now begins in 1967 with footage of a Delta Golden Crown DC-7, of which in 1967 Delta had only 4 left in operation. (As per the Delta Flight Museum Delta discontinued the DC-7 on February 1, 1968) The second part which starts a little beyond the first still-shot (a little past the middle) jumps to the winter of 1968-’69 Technical details This was originally shot silent, as sound for Super 8 did not come out until 1972. In the edit, I dubbed in modern sound for background ambience. (It was pretty dead without sound). Super 8 could be jittery at the usual 18 frames per second, so I resampled it at a higher frame rate for a smoother look. The original film was shot and processed on Kodachrome II (ISO film speed was 25 at the time, pretty slow!) Movie film did not have any date codes on it, but some color slides I took around the same time frame had processing info stamped on the mount, which would read, say, FEB 69 CN, the last two letters were the location of the processing lab. Since I shot both still and movie film, I used this info to make my timeline calculations. 1080p scan done at digmypics, AZ
