Data tells stories but... transparency is the new "green"? Dr. V. Richard Benjamins is from the Netherlands, but lives in Spain. He has worked as researcher and professor at various universities, co-founded a start-up and now works in a large multinational. He has a passion for innovation, digital disruption and data. Richard Benjamins obtained his PhD in Cognitive Science/Artificial Intelligence from the University of Amsterdam. He has lived and worked in Sao Paulo, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam and now lives in Madrid. Currently he is Group Director of Business Intelligence & Big Data at Telefonica Group. Dr. Benjamins is a frequent speaker on big data events, is on the advisory board of several start-ups and international research projects. He is editorial board member of IEEE Intelligent Systems, and has published over 100 scientific articles.
