Sunday 9th March, 2025 Preacher: Pr Margaret Kato Theme: A dwelling place ✓ Compare a dwelling place to a home. It's in a home that you feel free to do anything you desire. ✓ Homes and surroundings build our character, culture, speech, dressings, and determine our eats, dos and don'ts. Ps 91:1 says "he that dwells in the secret place of the most High, shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty. Who dwells in the secret place of the most High? What does it take to get there? When someone looks at you, do they see you as someone who dwells in the secret place of the most High. ✓ To dwell there, we must know the standard there of. It's a secret place because it's between you and the most High God. Therefore, you must establish your own relationship with Him (God). ✓ A secret place is where you talk and converse/chat with God, walk with your God, feel your God as a father...this is the dwelling place! 💫 A secret place should be a place of joy to every member there in. Does the Holy spirit rejoice dwelling in you? Does the Holy spirit see you honor God as you wake up, pray, walk? Reading from Isaiah 6:1_8 In verse 1, Isaiah could not see God before King Uzziah had died. Verse 5, Isaiah declares that he was a man with unclean lips and dwelt amidst people of unclean lips including King Uzziah. 💫 It might not be unclean lips but also jealousy, hatred,... In verse 5, Isaiah declares that woe was coming to him for the wrong place he was in. 💫 Our dwelling places count a lot, if you dwell in the word, you will be a man of the word and many more. 💫 We need to be in a place where you can freely hearken to the voice of God. Changing our dwelling places Reading from Gen 13:8-11 In verse 8, Abraham and Lot we're dwelling together but chose to separate from each other for peace to reign. Lot physically chose an area looking beautiful but the place was near a sinful and wicked Sodom. It's after Abraham's change of dwelling place that he heard God and got a promise. Where and with whom do you spend most of your time? 💫 In the hands of the Lord is love, peace, favor, victory... ✓ Change your attitude, dressings, heart, character,..so that you maybe established with God. Hallelujah 🙏 Dear Lord help us to chose the dwelling in your secret place oh God . Amen © MMC
