Nieuwoudtville lies on the Bokkeveld Escarpment in the Northern Cape! Ep 131

On leaving Vanrhynsdorp we took the road toward Nieuwoudtville, a small town which lies on top of the Bokkeveld Escarpment in the Northern Cape. BUT, to reach this town you have to go up Van Rhyns Pass. We experienced the most amazing views of the Knersvlakte (“Gnashing Plains”) from the top of this pass. We tried our best to get into the Oorlogskloof Nature Reserve with no luck. Actually, this was a blessing in disguise because after visiting the Hantam Botanical Gardens we found out about the Glacial Pavement. This was a phenomenal place to visit.
