When we left Garies, we took an absolutely fantastic gravel road off the N7. The solid massive rocks which were literally the size of mountains were something to behold. The village of Tweerivier was not part of our plan but when we saw it, there was just no way we could just pass by. For us who live in big cities or even bigger towns where everything we need and want is just around the corner, this was eye-opening. Then we were off to Leliefontein. The drive through the Kamiesberg Mountains was superb. The church which has been in existence since 1816 was epic. So much history in this place.
