Bergmannkiez is in the western part of Kreuzberg around the lovely Bergmannstrasse between Victoria Park and Südstern. Besides being one of the most beautiful kiez in town, it offers a mix of restaurants, cafes, trinket sales, vintage and small shops, i.e. we hardly find any big brands here! The residential area around Bergmannstrasse is characterized by a beautifully preserved architecture. This area was one of the first in the district of Kreuzberg to gentrify itself throughout the 90s and 2000s. It is certainly not difficult to deduce the reason.
