Joint Readiness Training Center Rotation 25-08 was a large-scale combat training event held at Fort Polk, Louisiana, where the Iowa Army National Guard’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, led a powerful and diverse force of more than 4,000 personnel. This included multinational partners like the Kosovo Security Force, National Guard units from across the country, and critical enablers. Soldiers trained across miles of rugged terrain, facing simulated electronic warfare, denied logistics, disrupted communications, and constant enemy contact. They operated under extreme weather conditions and conducted 24-hour missions with minimal sleep. JRTC 25-08 was the final test to confirm the 2/34th IBCT’s readiness to conduct unified land operations in support of federal missions and reinforced the Iowa National Guard’s commitment to being trained, equipped and ALWAYS ready. This video features combined footage from JRTC Public Affairs and the 135th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, capturing the intensity and realism of the training environment.
